Holistic/ Biological
Dentistry

At Pride Dental, we practice biological dentistry. This means far more than just being mercury-free, mercury-safe and fluoride-free.

Treating the System, Not Just the Symptom

Biological dentistry is a holistic, integrative approach that treats the teeth in relationship to the whole body. It acknowledges the wholeness of each individual – body, mind and spirit.

As a holistic approach, biological dentistry combines the best of modern technology and scientific knowledge with time-tested traditional healing wisdom.

It emphasizes prevention over treatment and a conservative approach when treatment is called for. After all, your best teeth are the ones you were born with. When they must be repaired or replaced, we make sure we use only biocompatible materials.

Taking Holistic Dentistry to the Next Stage

As a biological practice, we look beyond mere symptoms to the root cause of problems. While conventional dentistry focuses largely on mechanical repairs to the teeth and related structures when something goes wrong, biological dentistry includes additional therapeutic approaches to support the body’s natural healing abilities.

Complementary therapies we use here in our Arlington clinic include

  • Dental ozone.
  • Homeopathy and other energy medicine.
  • Neural therapy.
  • Nutritional support and supplementation.
  • Naturopathic consulting.

We provide treatment of cavitations and infected root canal teeth, as well as the safe removal of mercury amalgam “silver” fillings.

We incorporate a wide variety of leading-edge techniques and tools when providing dental care for our patients, including lasers and PRF (platelet-rich fibrin).

Preventive measures and education are at the core of what we do. Education does more than just show you how to maintain the health of your mouth, teeth, and gums for the rest of your life. It’s essential to informed consent – your right to choose or refuse treatment based on your understanding of the options available to you, along with their risks and benefits.

Above all, we treat every patient as an individual with agency, not as a passive patient. We take the time to get to know you – not just by your dental and medical history, but by your values and what you care about in life. We don’t dictate your treatment. We provide you with information about the pros and cons of each option, so you can make the health decisions that are right for you and your family.
